This classic Maine cottage, nestled in the spruce woods above Southwest Harbor, combines charm and comfort in ideal proportions. Indoors it boasts bright, pine-paneled rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and cathedral ceiling in the great living/dining area. A wood fireplace in the living room will warm you on cool island evenings. The 1.4ac grounds include a terraced deck,a small lawn for ball games or star-gazing and a plot of beautiful old spruce & cedar woods. A vernal; pool in the forest adds a sparkle of water to the landscape in spring & fall, but come in late July or early August if you want to pick your own high-bush blueberries right behind the house! Acadia National Park and the trails around Long Pond, Beech Mountain & Western Mountain are only a shoret walk down the road. In the opposite direction, a 5-min drive (or a 20-min walk) will bring you to the shops & restaurants of Southwest Harbor. There you can rent bicycles, kayaks or take the free Island Explorer shuttle buses to all parts of the island.
